REI Agro moves up on reporting strong Q1 result

REI Agro is currently trading at Rs 29.10, up by 0.95 points or 3.37% from its previous closing of Rs 28.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 28.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 29.40 and Rs. 28.00 respectively. So far 524985 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 44.10 on 31-Jul-2009 and a 52 week low of Rs 25.10 on 07-Jun-2010.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 31.40 and Rs 27.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2778.16 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.89% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.49% and 34.08% respectively.

REI Agro???s net profit has surged by 48.12% to Rs 61.59 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 41.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009.Its total income for the quarter under review has grown by 10.37% to Rs 949.95 crore as against Rs 860.68 crore for the previous year???s corresponding quarter.

One of the  major factor contributing for the surge in the net profit for the quarter ended June 30,2010 is reduction in the expenditure of purchase of Traded Goods which stood at Rs 48.03 crore as compared to Rs 151.04 crore for the previous year???s corresponding quarter, down by 68.20%.
