Parle Software surges on a buzz of foraying into infrastructure

Parle Software, part of Parle Bisleri Group, has acquired 45.83% stake in the capital of privately-owned Hazoor Township Developers, a subsidiary of realty major Hazoor Multi Projects.

The scrip is currently trading at Rs 82.40 per share, up 2.80 points or 3.52% on the BSE

The stock opened at Rs 76 compared to its previous close of Rs 79.60. Intraday, the counter has touched a high and a low of Rs 83 and Rs 76, respectively.

So far 1,007 shares of the company were traded on the BSE.

The stock of the face value of Rs 10 touched its 52-week high of Rs 146 on June 11, 2009 and a 52-week low of Rs 38.05 on February 10, 2009.

The promoters holding in the company as per December 2009 quarter stood at 62.33%, while others were holding 37.67% in the company.

This strategic investment will create an opportunity for the company to capitalise and foray into infrastructure and real estate development through its associate, Hazoor Township Developers. 

Parle Software is an information technology (IT) company involved in providing enterprise solutions and services such as enterprise resource application, knowledge management, supply chain and e-business applications.

The company has reported total revenue of Rs 22 lakh for the quarter ended October, 2009 while the net profit of the company was Rs 2 lakh.
